But the stepper motor is no water cooling , how to determine its overheating problem yet.
The answer is very simple. A reasonable range of stepper motor heating , electrical heating allows to what extent , depends on the motor internal insulation levels. Internal insulation properties at high temperatures ( above 130 degrees ) will be destroyed. So long as no more than 130 degrees inside , the motor will not be damaged. The internal temperature we may not be able to accurately measure , but we can measure the surface temperature of the motor. When the internal temperature of 130 degrees, about 90 degrees in the outside . Therefore , the surface temperature of the stepping motor is normally 70-80 degrees . Simple temperature measurement method is useful to point thermometer , you can roughly determine: a hand can touch more than 1-2 seconds , not more than 60 degrees ; hand can touch, about 70-80 degrees ; drip a few drops rapidly gas of the above is 90 degrees out.
Stepper motor temperature is too high will cause dislocation occurs CNC engraving machine during normal operation . So after the machine is best to run continuously for several hours to allow the machine a short break
